Aimee is a Northern California native who has been in the Bay Area for nearly ten years. She started playing club when she was 11 with Rage Volleyball Club (Central Valley). This was the club’s inaugural season and her parents were part of the few who grew Rage into a successful club. She continued on to have an accomplished club career as both a setter and DS. In 2011 and 2012, she played with USA Volleyball's High-Performance teams and competed with NCVA's HP Global Challenge team. Aimee initially signed to play indoor as a DS/setter at NDNU before transferring to Grand Canyon University after her freshman year to continue playing as a DS. She graduated a year early with a Bachelor's in Sociology to pursue her Master's and play beach. Aimee holds a Master's in Mental Health and Wellness and has completed an EdD in Organizational Leadership. She is currently a PhD candidate working on her dissertation in Educational Law.
Aimee has coached for over ten years - girls indoor and beach and boys indoor. She led 11s and 17s teams at Encore, and 13s, 15s and 17s teams at Red Rock. Aimee also coached 11/12s, 14s, and 16s boys teams at Red Rock. In addition to indoor, she coached for AVP Academy and Red Rock Beach for five years.
After a brief hiatus following COVID, Aimee is excited to return to the court and will be working with our 12’s team. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes foundational skills while nurturing the holistic development of each player, both on and off the court. She believes volleyball imparts valuable lessons in sportsmanship, friendship, and leadership.
During the day, Aimee is an assistant head of school at a local high school and is working on finishing her dissertation. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs.
